Information for all Attendees
The workshop is upon invitation only. The list of participants is now available.
Participants will represent a balance in region, gender, and career stage, and span the diversity of communities including core modeling, climate analysis, climate impacts and adaptation, funding agencies and a spectrum of stakeholders dependent on actionable climate projections at the decision scale from different sectors and regions of the world (70 in-person and 30 virtual attendees)
All participants are invited in their personal capacity as an expert to the workshop.
Privacy policy – please answer by March 31 if you do not accept
According to EU regulations, we need your consent to:
- Share your personal information (name, surname, email, organization) on the participants list with all the participants. The list will be also published together with the workshop report on the RIfS website.
- Perform an audio/video recording of the plenary sessions. This will not be shared, and is solely to help the organizers with our summary.
If you need more information about the EU privacy policy and your rights, please read the European Commission privacy statement. If you do not accept to share your data, please notify us by email to express your objection by March 31, 2024, at the latest. If we do not receive a response by this date, we will consider you to have accepted the privacy statement.
Information for Virtual Attendees
Virtual participants will be able to attend the plenaries, as well as participate in break-out groups with other virtual participants. For some time zones, break-out groups at alternatives times will be organized.

Information for In-person Attendees
Please give careful consideration to the following, and particularly respond where needed by the deadlines to help avoid logistical problems.

Security clearance – please answer by March 31
- Please note that you will soon receive an email from: <automated-notifications@nomail.ec.Europa.EU> with instructions on how to provide your personal information (passport number, nationality, etc.) necessary to gain access to the building. Please check the spam and/or contact us in case you haven’t received the email by March 31 2024.
- Please provide your details if possible by March 31 to facilitate the organization, and no later than April 10 2024. After entering and saving your details you will obtain a QR code, which you will need to pass the security at the entrance of the venue (Centre Albert Borschette).
Meals
- Lunch will be included at the meeting. Fill in the form to inform us on your dietary and access requirements before March 22, 2024. Please note that we can not guarantee the cross contamination for allergies.
- A group dinner is being organized on April 23, at the restaurant Brasserie Signature (100m from the venue). Please let us know if you’d like to participate, also through the form.

There is no room block reserved for the event. However, there are quite a few hotels near the venue. The following is not a comprehensive list.

When to Arrive
Please leave time to gain entry to the European Commission building before the meeting starts Monday morning. You will receive information requesting information for security clearance beforehand.
Questions about travel?
If your travel is being covered, you should have been contacted to arrange your travel.
- From Brussels Airport there is a fast, direct connection to the main Brussels railway stations (Brussels North, Brussels Central and Brussels South). There is a direct train every 15 minutes in both directions. You arrive in the centre of Brussels in just 17 minutes.
- Brussels is very simple to navigate and easily accessible. The App Floya brings together all of the transport services available in Brussels: metro, bus, scooter, trams, taxis, etc.
The Venue
The workshop is located at the Centre Albert Borschette, Rue Froissart 36, Brussels.
The easiest way to get to the venue is to get to Schuman metro or train station and walk to the venue (approx. 6 min.)
The venue is located inside the European Commission building and you will need to pass the security check point at the entrance. Please make sure you come early for the admission procedures and bring the QR code you will have received.
